High Window

2 Male 3 Female
Less than a year ago, Walter Hodge was independent, debonair, fun-loving
Now merely a pale and timid shell, he performs in an almost servile manner the despotic orders of his shrewd and shrewish Aunt Emily
She taunts him cruelly about his weakness and an awful secret they seem to share - a secret linked in some terribly fascinating way to the imposing window overlooking the street far below
Always decisive, the old lady summons her lawyer, instructs him to commit Walter to a mental institution and orders the attorney to commence legal proceedings against the insurance company which is holding up payment on her late husband's $100,000 life insurance policy - it seems he fell from the high window to his death a year ago!
Walter's future looks bleak indeed, and it takes Linda Norton, a clever newspaperwoman, spurred on by a driving curiosity and a special interest in his case, to free Walter from his torment and solve the enigma of the high window
