Margo Chancellor is devastated when her husband Dr Harry Chancellor dies of a heart attack whilst on rounds at the hospital six months short of retirement
Faced with the loss of her husband and loss of her financial future, she is forced to move from her lovely home of 30 years in Pymble
Her daughter Annie and best friend Sylvia Hartman a North Shore Socialite do their best to console the grieving Margo and help with the move
On very good recommendation, Margo hires Jacksons Removalists to do the job, only to find that the new owner, Jacko is only learning as he goes, having inherited the business from his late Uncle
Completely out of his depth, Jacko causes havoc with his bad temper and his lack of understanding of the job and the move takes over three weeks to complete
Harry, whose job as a surgeon kept him away from his family, returns in ghost form to try and retrieve the situation. Sylvia’s housekeeper, Betty is shocked to find she has the “gift” and can communicate with Harry
With Betty’s help, Harry helps the traumatised Margo as she deals with the narcissistic Jacko; the frustrated Sylvia as she wrestles with a loveless marriage; his love struck daughter as she discovers romance and his friend Bob as he battles depression to move forward
