The Truth About George - A One-act musical

Legend has it that there will be dire consequences if they don't. Maidens, however, are becoming much more assertive these days and this year's chosen girls decide it is time things were changed

Faced with this problem the Mayor and citizens send for Young George, the dragon-slayer's grandson, in the hope that dragon killing is a hereditary skill

But the George they have summoned does not turn out to be all they had expected - and neither does the dragon

Catchy songs, a chorus of little dragons and lots of fun contribute to this new look at an old tale.

Cast : 30 speaking parts (11m, 13f, 6 variable m/f) + chorus + crowd. Suggested Age Range : 8 to 11. Running Time : 40 minutes. Music : 8 songs, almost all for large sections or the whole cast. Solo opportunity for the dragon. Simple piano accompaniment with some optional descants and plenty of opportunity for guitars, recorders and percussion.
